Perfect For

Large, medium and small dairy farms, large-animal veterinarians, herd managers, dairy nutritionists and researchers monitoring transition-cow metabolic health.

How VetSight Cow 3-in-1 Testing Works

  1. Select blood glucose, blood ketone or milk ketone and insert the matching test strip.
  2. Collect fresh whole blood from the tail root, ear or neck, or collect fresh midstream milk for milk-ketone testing.
  3. Let the strip tip draw in the sample through capillary action.
  4. Review the result in about 5–9 seconds and use the dated record for follow-up.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the VetSight Cow 3-in-1 Metabolic Monitoring System?

It is a portable system designed for dairy farms, professional veterinarians and herd-health managers. It tests whole-blood glucose, whole-blood ketone and milk ketone to support earlier identification and follow-up of metabolic risk in dairy cows.

What indicators and ranges does it support?

Whole-blood glucose: 10–600 mg/dL (0.6–33.3 mmol/L). Whole-blood ketone: 1.8–144 mg/dL (0.1–8.0 mmol/L). Milk ketone: direct testing of ketone concentrations in fresh milk.

How much sample is required, and how fast are results?

Blood glucose requires about 0.5 µL and takes about 5 seconds. Blood ketone and milk ketone require about 0.8 µL and take about 9 seconds.

How should blood and milk samples be collected?

Collect a small capillary blood sample from the tail root, ear or neck with a disposable collection device. Let the strip tip draw in the sample; do not place blood on the flat strip surface. For milk testing, fresh midstream milk is recommended.

How should milk ketone results be interpreted?

Use the interpretation guidance supplied with the compatible milk-ketone test strips and your veterinarian's herd-health protocol. A measurement alone does not establish a diagnosis or treatment plan.

How many records can the meter store?

It stores up to 1,000 results with dates and times. When the memory is full, the oldest record is replaced by the newest.

Who is the system suitable for?

It is suited to dairy farms of all sizes, large-animal veterinarians, herd managers, dairy nutritionists and researchers.

What is included in the standard kit?

The standard kit includes the meter, carrying case and user manual. Dedicated blood glucose, blood ketone and milk ketone strips are purchased separately.

Where can I purchase compatible consumables?

Contact us to confirm the correct blood glucose, blood ketone or milk ketone strips and current availability before ordering.

This system supports screening and herd-management decisions. Follow the product instructions and veterinary protocols for interpretation and follow-up.

Can I change the meter's units?

The meter is preset for its regional version and the unit setting is not user-adjustable. Check the required unit before ordering.

Are other brands of consumables compatible?

Use the appropriate VetSight test strips and VetSight control solution specified for this system. Do not substitute components from other brands.
